Legal AI Archive

Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 July 2026 [draft]

1. Who we are

LegalAIArchive.com is operated by Legal AI Archive Limited (we, us, our).

These Terms apply to your access to and use of LegalAIArchive.com and any related pages or services controlled by us (Website). The Website is operated from New Zealand.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Website.

If you use the Website on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. In that case, references to you include that organisation where the context requires.

3. Nature of the directory

The Website is an independent directory of legal artificial intelligence tools and related resources. Listings are compiled from public sources, vendor-provided information, vendor-confirmed information, and our editorial review.

We may add, edit, classify, label, prioritise, decline, suspend or remove any listing at any time. We do not promise that the directory is comprehensive, complete, current or error-free.

4. No legal advice

The Website is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, technology procurement advice, security advice, or a recommendation that any tool is suitable for any person, organisation, jurisdiction, matter or use case.

You should carry out your own due diligence before choosing, using, procuring, integrating or relying on any legal AI tool. No lawyer-client, advisory, fiduciary or agency relationship is created by your use of the Website or by any communication with us.

5. No endorsement or ranking representation

Inclusion of a tool or vendor in the directory does not mean that we endorse, recommend, approve, certify or guarantee that tool or vendor.

The order, prominence, omission or categorisation of any listing is not a representation of quality, safety, compliance, reliability, market position or relative ranking.

Some listings may be vendor-confirmed. Vendor confirmation means only that a vendor representative has confirmed or supplied information for a listing. It is not independent verification by us.

6. Paid listings and sponsorship disclosure

The Website may include paid placements, including Enhanced listings and Sponsor placements. Paid placements affect presentation and visibility only. They do not constitute endorsement, recommendation, ranking, certification or approval.

Paid placements will be labelled clearly, for example as Enhanced, Sponsored or equivalent wording. We retain editorial control over all listing content, labels, categories and display decisions.

The current paid options are described in our Vendor and Paid Listing Terms.

We may in the future introduce advertising, affiliate arrangements or other revenue models, in addition to the paid placement options described above. Any additional revenue model will be introduced consistently with the editorial independence and non-endorsement principles in these Terms, and any paid or promotional element will continue to be clearly labelled.

7. Vendor submissions and corrections

A vendor may ask us to add, confirm, enhance or correct a listing. Any person may suggest a new tool or suggest a correction to an existing listing.

If you submit information to us, you must ensure it is accurate, current, lawful, not misleading, and that you have the right to provide it. Do not submit confidential information, privileged information, client information, trade secrets, or material that you are not authorised to share.

By submitting information, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish and display that information for the purposes of operating, maintaining, improving and promoting the Website and directory.

We may accept, reject, edit, verify, query, update or remove submitted information at our discretion. We are not required to publish any submission or provide reasons for a decision.

8. Correction and removal requests

If you believe a listing is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, unlawful or otherwise problematic, contact us at info@legalaiarchive.com and identify the relevant listing, the requested change, and the basis for the request.

We may ask for supporting information, including evidence of authority if the request is made on behalf of a vendor. We may also seek comment from the relevant vendor or another affected person before making a change.

We will consider correction and removal requests in good faith, but we retain final editorial control over the directory.

9. Acceptable use

You must use the Website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the Website, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, submit malicious code, submit false or misleading information, or use the Website in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

You must not scrape, harvest, bulk download, copy, republish or use directory data to create a competing service without our prior written consent. Ordinary search engine indexing, ordinary linking to public pages, and non-commercial individual use of the Website are not restricted by this clause.

10. Intellectual property and sharing links

We or our licensors own the intellectual property rights in the Website, including its design, structure, original text, compilation, categorisation, trade marks and branding. Third-party names, logos and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners.

You may view and print pages from the Website for your own internal business or personal use.

You may share links to public pages of the Website, including through professional networks, social media platforms, email, newsletters or similar channels, provided that you do not copy or reproduce substantial parts of the Website or Directory, suggest that we endorse, sponsor or are affiliated with you or any third party unless we have agreed that in writing, frame, mirror, scrape or republish the Website or Directory, or use our name, logo or branding in a misleading way.

You may not otherwise copy, reproduce, adapt, publish, distribute, commercialise or frame substantial parts of the Website without our prior written consent.

11. Third-party websites and tools

The Website links to third-party websites, vendor websites and external materials. Those links are provided for convenience and source transparency. We do not control those third-party websites or materials and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security practices, privacy practices or terms.

Your dealings with any vendor or third party are solely between you and that vendor or third party.

12. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Do not submit personal information about another individual unless you are authorised to do so and the information is relevant to your submission or enquiry.

13. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue all or any part of the Website at any time. We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on the Website. The revised version applies from the date stated in it or, if no date is stated, from the date it is published.

14. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, representations and liability arising from or in connection with the Website, the directory, any listing, any paid placement, any vendor submission, any third-party link, and your use of or reliance on any of them.

Without limiting the previous paragraph, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or economic loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of opportunity, business interruption, procurement decision, technology failure, compliance issue, or reliance on inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer using the Website for personal, domestic or household purposes, nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986. If you use the Website or hold yourself out as using it for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to that use to the extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnity

You indemnify us against all loss, cost, liability and expense arising from your breach of these Terms, your submission of information to us, your infringement of third-party rights, or your unlawful or misleading use of the Website.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by New Zealand law. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
